The Network hosted a workshop for HIV / AIDS prevention and treatment institutions
On December 7-8, 2017, the seminar “Ensuring the Quality of Medicines and Medical Products While Acceptance and Storage” was held at the Network’s training centre.
The event was organized in the framework of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Programme in Ukraine.
The seminar was attended by representatives of the Centre for Public Health, the Procurement Department of the Network, and oblast (regional) HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment institutions which are responsible for acceptance and storage of medicines and medical products supplied by the Network. The purpose of the training was to inform the participants with current issues of the medicines and medical products circulation and provide systematic information on the current requirements of the Good Distribution Practice (GхP).
Having listened to the trainers’ presentations, the participants of the seminar carried out practical exercises, exchanged their thoughts and actively discussed the topical issues concerning the quality of medicines and medical products, asked questions and adopted experience of their colleagues. The seminar culminated with a test that was successfully passed by all participants.
We hope that the received knowledge, experience and established relationships with colleagues will be extremely useful for ensuring the quality of medicines and medical products. We expect that the lessons learned will be used for the benefit of HIV-infected patients who will always receive high-quality testing and treatment products in order to overcome the HIV epidemic in Ukraine.
