Seminar within the framework of the CAMP project

On September 18-19, 2025, a seminar was held in Kyiv on “Using a systematic approach to applying tools for monitoring HIV treatment and prevention programs and OST programs in NGOs. The impact of monitoring data on the cascade of services in the field of HIV.”

The seminar was attended by employees of key HIV organizations involved in monitoring and evaluation. In particular, the event was attended by representatives of the charitable organization “BF VOLNA,” the charitable organization “VONA,” the public organization “Alliance. Global,” the charitable organization TB People of Ukraine, the charitable organization LEGALIFE-UKRAINE, the charitable organization Positive Women, the charitable organization FREE ZONE, the public organization MO Teenagers of Ukraine, and individual regional branches of the charitable organization 100% LIFE.

As a result of two days of intensive work, participants increased their knowledge of monitoring and evaluation (key concepts and approaches, the link between monitoring/evaluation results and program changes, discussed data quality requirements, confidentiality, etc.); received up-to-date information on key documents and monitoring indicators in the field of HIV at the national and global levels; learned about successful practices in the use of monitoring tools in the areas of HIV, OST, and TB; increased their awareness of the capabilities of the OPTIMUS (OST) tool and the service and advocacy modules of the DataCheck system; mapped priority monitoring and evaluation tools for NGOs of key populations and explored the impact of NGO monitoring/evaluation results on the adjustment of HIV treatment and prevention programs and OST programs.
