The medical center “100% of life” visited Sir Elton John
On May 29, 2018, Sir Elton John, the world-known singer, public figure and founder of the charity foundation, visited the medical center “100% of Life” in Kyiv.
Sir Elton John arrived in Ukraine at the invitation of the Elena Pinchuk Foundation. The visit to the medical center “100% of Life”, opened by the Network of PLWH in May, became one of the activities during his visit.
Sir Elton John is the founder of the Elton John AIDS Foundation and a prominent fighter with HIV and AIDS. For many years, the singer comes to Ukraine with charity. He called the medical center “100% of Life” the incredible success of the public movement and the Network of PLWH, the most extraordinary organization.
During the communication with the guests of the medical center, Acting Minister of Health of Ukraine Ulana Suprun was among them, Sir Elton John was impressed with the space planning, light and modern atmosphere of openness that fills the center. He noted that it did not look like a hospital that he had ever seen.
Sir Elton John left a 100% love message on the center’s wall for all future visitors.
“For us, you are a symbol of absolute 100% of tolerance,’ said Dmytro Sherembey, the head of the Network, during a tour of the center. “Tolerance, confidentiality, modernity, efficiency and safety are the priorities of the medical center.”
The creation of such a center became possible due to the full-scale health care reform that continues in Ukraine. The Network is a partner of the state and actively cooperates with the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
MD Ulana Suprun emphasized the modernity and high standards of the medical center. She underlined that the opening of such a center supported the transformation of the health care system.
“This institution is an open and inclusive space that aims to become a model when the patient is the center of attention. And this is also an example of a result that a strong civil movement gives in the country, which is open for cooperation and change,” said Acting Minister of Health of Ukraine MD Ulana Suprun.

The center provides services to both general patients and representatives of people with HIV and risk groups. The medical center in Kyiv consists of such specialists, as a family doctor, an infectious disease doctor, a gynecologist, an urologist, a proctologist, a dermatovenereologist, a narcologist, a psychiatrist and a neuropathologist. The center also provides patients with a temporary residence and the opportunity to have different tests.
The work schedule of the center is from Monday to Sunday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (87A Mezhygirska str.). You can make an appointment with a doctor by calling 044 334 74 50.

We’d like to remind that on the eve of May 28, the Elena Pinchuk Foundation, supported by Art Zavod Platforma, Kurazh Bazar, the All-Ukrainian Network of PLWH and the Radio HIT FM held an informational charitable action “The Day with Elton John” aimed at HIV preventing and engaging Ukrainians in the fight against AIDS in Ukraine.
From May 26 to May 28, about 1,000 visitors took HIV testing in the framework of activities conducted by the Network at Kurazh Bazar and “The Day with Elton John”.
