Mobile Teams for Sexual and Reproductive Health

Donor: United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Ukraine
Implementation Period: Since September 2022
Geographic Coverage:
Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv regions.

Project Goal:

To improve access to obstetric-gynecological, therapeutic, and consultative medical care for rural populations, communities with limited access to diagnostics and healthcare services, internally displaced persons (IDPs), people with physical disabilities, and other vulnerable groups by supporting the work of mobile medical teams.

Additionally, the project aims to identify survivors of gender-based and sexual violence, provide them with medical assistance, and refer them to appropriate services for further support.

Note:

Mobile team patients also include men and children, as some deployments include general practitioners, pediatricians, or other specialists. Since the mobile gynecological teams operate under state medical institutions, the referral system functions smoothly and without interruption.
