Key Achievements:

• National Intellectual Property Development Strategy until 2030
  A dedicated section on “Intellectual Property and Pharmaceuticals” was developed with expert support from staff and consultants.
  This strategy is considered the most patient-centered in the history of intellectual property strategies in Ukraine.

Proposals for the Draft Rules on Patent Application Examination for Inventions and Utility Models

• Developed by staff and consultants.
• Incorporated into the official Rules approved by the Ministry of Economy Order No. 23301 dated September 9, 2024.
• Require consideration of significant therapeutic effect changes when patenting new forms of known medicines.
• Aimed at improving patent examination quality and combating the practice of #stopevergreeningpatents.

Patent Oppositions on Rilpivirine:

• Opposition 1: Use of rilpivirine or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt in combination with hyaluronidase for the treatment or prevention of HIV infection.
• Opposition 2: Pediatric formulation of rilpivirine.
