“100 percent of life” implements electronic document management in the healthcare system
A working meeting of national stakeholders’ representatives, the analytical team of “100 % of Life”, the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the CDC, the University of California and regional experts, took place from August 6 to August 10, 2018, in Kyiv.
“The activities within this event included field visits, the Kyiv City AIDS Center, the ART site in Bila Tserkva, the Irpin City Polyclinic, and the discussion of current issues in narrow circles of specialists, as well as piloting of developed tools and considering decisions on further steps,” emphasized the analytical team head Oksana Kyrychok. “The meeting discussed the implementation of activities aimed at assessing the quality of data in a single medical information system of epidemiological and clinical monitoring of HIV prevalence (HIV MIS). Quality confirmation of data provided to the HIV MIS is the first and very important step in the transition to electronic document management and reporting in healthcare facilities which provide assistance to HIV patients.”
Now, Ukraine is actively implementing the eHealth system, whose prototype was developed by the “100 100% of Life”. The participants of the meeting developed tools and algorithms for assessing the quality of data in the HIV MIS, which would in future allow fully switching to electronic document management in the healthcare system of Ukraine.
