Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs funds purchase of equipment for Ukrainian hospitals

With the support of the Government of Japan, 23 hospitals in the Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad and Cherkasy regions will receive medical equipment by the end of 2023. 

 

UAH 14 million worth of equipment for various purposes, including portable ultrasound machines, defibrillators, syringe pumps, patient monitors, generators, has already been purchased and is being prepared for delivery to hospitals.

The procurement and logistics of the equipment is provided by the largest patient organization, CO 100% Life, under the Memorandum of understanding with the Japanese side.

“We have been supplying medicines to Ukrainian hospitals for a year and a half with the support of the Japanese organization PW. We greatly appreciate that the scope and areas of Japan’s support for the medical system in Ukraine are expanding. The project supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan is an unconditional step of solidarity with Ukrainian patients, for which we are sincerely grateful,” says Dmytro Sherembey, Head of CO 100% Life.

 

The equipment will be delivered to the hospitals by the end of the year.
